Four things that were always manual in a workshop, Basteo reads from a phone photo. Two work today, two are planned. One rule: a photo gives a proposal that a person approves — and the pattern is always calculated by formulas.

What it does today

Paper pattern → piece in the program: you lay the pattern out, put a sheet of A4 next to it as the scale reference and take a photo with your phone
The program straightens the perspective (the photo does not have to be perfectly overhead), finds the outline and sets the scale from the sheet — outline accuracy around 1–2 %
A cupboard full of paper patterns goes into the program in one afternoon, with no digitiser and no redrawing
How to take a good photo: a matt, plain background, the A4 sheet flat and fully in frame, light without hard shadows, one piece per photo
A photo of a garment or a sketch → AI reads the style: the type, the sleeve (set-in or raglan, long or short), a hood or neck ribbing, a pocket, a zip, the length, the cut
AI picks the block and the modules from YOUR workshop catalogue and separately points out the features the catalogue does not have
What for: a client enquiry with an inspiration photo → a proposal and a quote in minutes; altering a garment the client already owns; a quick start on a new product

What you get

The paper archive goes into the program with no digitiser and no redrawing
The client sends a photo for inspiration and you send a proposal back the same day
The shape of the pattern is always computed by formulas — the photo is a proposal, not a verdict
We do not promise a finished pattern from any photo: it does not work and we do not pretend it does

Basteo runs in the browser, so your workshop can be anywhere. We run rollout and training remotely, and on site by arrangement.
